Founded by Florence after a fateful first sip of pickle juice in New York City in 2014, The Pickle House returned to East London with a singular obsession, and eventually struck gold with an award-winning Bloody Mary mix. Every bottle of their Original Pickle Juice and Spiced Tomato Mix is crafted on a family farm in Suffolk, where quality and care go into every batch.

Eleanor is Glassette's Buying and Brand Acquisition Manager - the person who sources new homeware and lifestyle brands for the platform, shapes the ranges, and spots what's worth paying attention to before most people have clocked it. Every month, she shares the products she can't stop thinking about, the trends quietly moving into interiors, and honest recommendations she'd genuinely spend her own money on.

Eleanor's October Product Round-Up

Our weekly Nice Things Edit is a curated Monday round-up of what we’re loving right now. From our favourite pieces on Glassette to a recipe, a watch, a read, a place to visit, a restaurant, and a gift worth bookmarking.
Each week, every member of the Glassette team shares their current favourites, whether that’s new arrivals, pieces we’ve spotted trending, or timeless finds we can’t stop thinking about. Think of it as a weekly dose of joy, discovery, and design inspiration, handpicked by the Glassette team.

Nice Things This Week

A good cupboard is a quiet flex. Not the fridge, not the table, not the thing you plate up and photograph - the shelf behind the door, stocked with the jars and tins you reach for without thinking. The 12 brands below have made an art of the everyday: the dressing, the bean, the tin of crisps, done properly rather than just done. Buy a few, and dinner starts doing more work before you've turned the hob on.

12 Pantry Brands to Have in Your Cupboard

Hannah Drye never set out to make "London-style" pizza - that's a label other people attached to it. What she set out to make was thin, crispy pizza she actually wanted to eat, first from the back of a car at weekend markets, then through pub residencies, and now as XL slices and whole 20-inch pies at All My Friends in Hackney Wick.
Here, the Dough Hands founder talks 72-hour proves, why truffle oil never stood a chance, the fish finger sandwich she'd genuinely put on a pizza, and the scotch bonnet hot honey you can make at home with a day's patience.

Is This The Best Pizza in London?

With the heatwave in full swing, we want to be anywhere but inside - unless there's aircon, which, in British homes, doesn't exist. So: dinner on a paddleboard, a bottle of rosé in a Lime bike basket packed with ice, or the nearest patch of grass with a picnic. Meals don't need to be complicated. Wherever you end up, just not inside.

Trending: Anywhere but Inside

Sitting somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert, the idea of travelling solo was something I both debated and fretted over. In 2023, a week after my birthday, I took the leap and headed to the sandy beaches of the Maldives. Three years on, it still feels surreal to type that sentence.

How to Travel Solo? Advice for Introverts and Extroverts!

For the friend who’s always hosting, the one who keeps every photo, or the person whose shelves always have room for one more lovely thing, we’ve gathered gifts they’ll actually want. A gingham platter for the next long lunch, a little tray for rings and keys, a soft knitted blanket for the sofa. Small pieces with plenty of character, from some of our favourite makers. Gifting under £100, sorted.
