Audrey's is Sussex's oldest chocolatier, handcrafting chocolates in Hove since 1948, with some of the very tools from its early chocolate kitchens - now over a century old -  still in use today. Its signature cream chocolates remain a cornerstone of the range, delicately flavoured and made using traditional methods that have defined the brand since its founding. Acquired by William and Alice Crone in 2024, Audrey’s made sustainability a priority, as well as maintaining the commitment to craft and community through: utilising Valrhona chocolate, renowned for its quality and 100% traceable from cocoa bean to chocolate, operating as a palm oil-free business, and introducing an apprentice scheme to nurture the next generation of chocolatiers.

Eleanor is Glassette's Buying and Brand Acquisition Manager - the person who sources new homeware and lifestyle brands for the platform, shapes the ranges, and spots what's worth paying attention to before most people have clocked it. Every month, she shares the products she can't stop thinking about, the trends quietly moving into interiors, and honest recommendations she'd genuinely spend her own money on.

September Product Diaries

Our Monthly What's On is a curated round-up of the exhibitions, restaurant openings, residencies and gigs we're making plans for. From gallery shows and design fairs to new tables worth booking, cultural moments to catch, and the under-the-radar events you'll wish you'd heard about sooner.
Think of it as your cultural compass for the month ahead: a considered edit of art, food, music and design, chosen to inspire weekends well spent.
October is the month London stops pacing itself. Frieze lands mid-month and drags the entire art world with it, the film festival runs for twelve days either side, and the big autumn exhibitions open in a cluster in the first fortnight. Book the things that need booking now, and leave a weekend free for the ones that don't.

What's On In October

Halloween films divide into two kinds. There are the ones built to frighten you, and there are the ones that only want the season - the low light, the house with too many rooms, the sense that something in the corridor has been there longer than you have. These are the second kind. Some of them are funny. One of them is stop-motion. None will cost you a night's sleep.

10 Films for Halloween That Won't Frighten You

Every season we ask someone whose taste we trust to talk us through what they're reading. This autumn it's Tanya Burr.
Tanya spent years in beauty and fashion before founding Chapter, the book club that has grown from a monthly recommendation into something closer to a literary community. Reading Rooms, author talks, events, and a lot of people arguing amiably about the same novel. She reads widely, chooses her monthly pick before she's read it herself, and is a firm believer that you need a few weeks' distance from a book to know what it actually did to you.
Below, she talks us through the pile by her bed, the room she reads in, and 10 books for the darker evenings.

Autumn Reading List

Sir Paul Smith has been a shopkeeper since 1970, when he opened a room in Nottingham that traded on Fridays and Saturdays only. Fifty-six years later he still works the floor on Albemarle Street on a Saturday, which tells you most of what you need to know. His London is a small one, and it is walked. Bury Street for the galleries, Holborn for the Soane, Claridge's at Christmas, Covent Garden for a shop that sells enamel dustpans. It is the list of a man who has spent fifty years looking at things and deciding which ones are worth keeping.
