Gifting for the BIG Present

In 1967, architect Junzo Yoshimura designed the Shonan-Chigasaki House - a quiet landmark of Japanese modernism, where clean lines and soft light frame views of the sea. Nearly sixty years on, its spirit lives on in a sky-blue carpet, originally custom-made for the home and recently revived by @yamagatadantsu from the archives.
The carpet’s return is more than a restoration - it is a dialogue across generations, a preservation of Yoshimura’s vision and a reminder that modernism was always about more than form. It was about feeling. About atmosphere. About the way a single color can hold the memory of a place.

The Shonan-Chigasaki House

Saint Laurent hosted a dinner at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival to celebrate Father Mother Sister Brother.
The event took place inside Palazzo Grassi, where Tadao Ando’s modernist design intersects with the Baroque palace. In collaboration with Bureau Betak, Saint Laurent arranged a fuchsia-hued tablescape: jewel-toned flowers and fruit spread across round crimson tables, set with white china, glass goblets, and platinum candlesticks.
