Beautifully tactile and solid, this African Blackwood Lemon Squeezer is a handy kitchen essential that is wonderful to hold and use for years to come.
Hand carved with precision and care, it's great for getting every last drop out of that lemon, lime or orange and is also a popular gift for the creative cook.
Made by Jackson and Filbert (our artisans in Mtwara, Tanzania), each piece takes a day to make and has its own unique wood grain, showcasing the raw natural beauty of African Blackwood. Jackson and Filbert use a traditional free hand technique that allows them to have more control of the shape so they can achieve a distinctly sculpted finish.
We work directly with our group of Makonde Wood Carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.
Please note although the wood is called African Blackwood, it can sometimes have beautiful light grains and sections running through it. We love the two tone look and hope you do too. Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry immediately. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking in liquids. Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood
