Bambino is a natural wine bar with the rare bonus of genuinely good sound. The food is simple and well judged, the wine list leans low-intervention, and the room is set up for listening with a proper system, proper music library, no noise for the sake of it. It’s relaxed, not performative.

Clean lines, low distraction, high intention. Futura channels Milan’s design instincts into a space made for listening - analogue warmth, modern minimalism, and sets that drift from ambient into experimental and electronic territory.

Set inside Virgin Hotels Shoreditch, Hidden Grooves riffs on Virgin’s musical heritage with a hi-fi bar that feels equal parts vintage nostalgia and Shoreditch edge. EPR’s concept design builds the room around the ritual of vinyl: an extensive record collection, and dedicated listening stations.

One house, two worlds - and one shared vision. Upstairs, chef George Kataras brings a bold, fire-driven style to the kitchen, while Mohamed Aous (sommelier, with a passport full of serious rooms) leads pairings that lean into New World wines, plus sake, spirits and beautifully considered no- and low-alc options. Downstairs, the mood shifts: a basement listening bar inspired by Japan’s mid-century jazz cafés, with vinyl-only sets played through a custom system - disco, jazz, R&B and everything in between. Cocktails take classics and flip them, and the late-night Japanese-leaning bar food keeps you anchored until midnight.

Designed by Vincent von Thien as a “space that celebrates sound”, Trader HiFi is built around the listening experience. A cork-clad DJ booth sits at the centre, with the whole 70-square-metre room opened up and arranged around the sound system and a central bar. Inspired by Japan’s jazz cafes (jazu kissa), it serves coffee by day, then shifts into curated listening sessions by night - calm, focused, and quietly transportive.
