Confetti Highball - Cool Blossom

The lowball and highball design have been created to develop two extremes of classic mould blowing —the short wide shape and the tall long shape. While the forms complement each other, the way the shapes must be blown varies hugely. Blowing the lowball tumbler shape helps to develop consistent bubble weight, smooth turning and a classic overblow. The highball is more tricky to master. The bubble needs to be hot enough to drop to the bottom of the long mould but set up quickly enough that the whole design doesn’t twist. Both require nimble fingers and daring to get the glass the right heat for the mould.
