My Neighbourhood with Marla Primrose
People who know me would probably describe me as a bit of a homebody – so much so there was a joke I would never leave Primrose Hill. I have to admit I do spend a lot of time here… and I’m not embarrassed to say my local, the Lansdowne, knows my drink order… no longer to their surprise it’s an all-year round aperol spritz! I moved to Primrose Hill five years ago and I really hope I never leave. I grew up in London and I love that this doesn’t feel like London – it’s so quiet, has greenery and independent shops along the high street. An urban oasis? There’s a real sense of community, which is hard to find in central London. Given the business I’m always at the post office – if I haven’t been for a while, they’ll ask: “where have you been?”. There’s something quite special about that, they’ve been on the Marla Primrose journey with me. Little interactions like these really sum up this central London idyllic enclave.
