June has been a good one for things that make you want to do more, see more, eat more.
A floating pool appearing in Canary Wharf just as the heatwave arrived. A brand new restaurant in Brixton that three years of sold-out supper clubs were always building towards. A flamenco festival to transport you to the south of Spain.
And further afield - a centuries-old house in Malta, restored over seven years by the founders of The Rug Company into the kind of hotel that makes you want to book a flight before you've finished reading about it.
So here's what's been on my radar this month. A bit food, a bit travel, a bit get-outside-while-the-sun-is-still-here. Exactly as a June edit should be.

What Inspired Me This Month

With the heatwave in full swing, we want to be anywhere but inside - unless there's aircon, which, in British homes, doesn't exist. So: dinner on a paddleboard, a bottle of rosé in a Lime bike basket packed with ice, or the nearest patch of grass with a picnic. Meals don't need to be complicated. Wherever you end up, just not inside.
