Photographer Scarlett Casciello’s dream-like images seamlessly straddle the line between fine art and fashion, taking on a quality reminiscent of the pre-raphaelites. Her theatrical, surrealist and painterly portraits find beauty in the unconventional, championing a radical and modern femininity rooted in strength and power.

With strong casting decisions setting her apart from the start of her rich and varied career, Scarlett has collaborated with such clients as British Vogue, Wall Street Journal, i-D, British GQ, Harrods, Beauty Papers, Dazed and Document Journal.

Our weekly Nice Things Edit is a curated Monday round-up of what we’re loving right now. From our favourite pieces on Glassette to a recipe, a watch, a read, a place to visit, a restaurant, and a gift worth bookmarking.
Each week, every member of the Glassette team shares their current favourites, whether that’s new arrivals, pieces we’ve spotted trending, or timeless finds we can’t stop thinking about. Think of it as a weekly dose of joy, discovery, and design inspiration, handpicked by the Glassette team.

Nice Things This Week

Halloween is not, historically, an American invention. It started on the damp edges of Ireland and Scotland as Samhain, the night the old year ended and the boundary between the living and the dead went slack. America simply added sweets and a marketing budget. What follows is a list of places that take the night seriously, in their own ways. Some are loud. Some are candlelit. One involves a lot of drumming on a hill in Edinburgh.

Best Places in the World to Spend Halloween

Some houses explain an artist better than any retrospective. The places on this list weren't just lived in - they were made, obsessively, room by room, often over decades. A cobalt-blue courtyard in Coyoacán. A glass box lifted above the São Paulo rainforest. A Sussex farmhouse where no surface escaped a paintbrush. Most are open to visit, a few take planning, and all of them reward it. These are ten worth knowing about.

10 Artists' Houses To Save Around The World

Art has a way of choosing its location well. The places on this list aren't cities that happen to have galleries - they're towns, islands, and desert outposts where the art and the landscape have become inseparable. A whitewashed fishing village that drew Dalí. A Japanese island that became a permanent installation. A valley in the Sonoran that made space for something stranger. Whether you're planning around them or letting them redirect a trip entirely, these are ten places worth knowing about.

10 Art Destinations To Save

Rome has captivated travellers for centuries, but few know how to unlock the city quite like Emily FitzRoy. As founder of Bellini Travel, she's spent the past 26 years introducing clients to a side of Italy that most visitors never see - from extraordinary private access and under-the-radar experiences to the people and places that make a trip truly unforgettable. It's an expertise that has also seen her work with HBO as the Italian specialist behind The White Lotus and Succession. Here, Emily shares her insider's guide to the Eternal City, with her tips on where to go, when to visit and how to experience Rome beyond the crowds.

A pairing that earns its keep through proximity rather than contrast, apricot and coral work because neither is trying to win. Two tones from the same warm family, close enough to feel considered, different enough to hold interest - the blush of apricot softening the deeper flush of coral's red undertow.
Apricot does the quiet work. Diffused, flattering, the colour of late afternoon in a room with good light. Coral sharpens the mood without breaking it, adding just enough depth to stop the combination reading as sweet. Together they feel less like a pairing and more like a progression, a colour story that rewards looking twice.

Apricot & Coral

Gallery walls have moved on from rigid grids and perfectly matched frames. The most interesting ones mix artwork, objects and unexpected pieces to create something layered and expressive. We’ve pulled together five creative ideas for building a gallery wall that feels considered and full of character.

Start a Gallery Wall

What’s your art taste? Not the one you say in galleries. The real one.
Maybe you’re quietly accumulating meaning. Maybe you want to touch every surface. Maybe film, food, fashion and art all blur into one big reference board in your head.
Are you driven by nostalgia, or by the thrill of something that makes people pause?
Do you place pieces instinctively, or does every work have to earn its wall?
Some people collect art. Some people build a point of view.
Which one are you?
Take the quiz!

Bedrooms are tricky when it comes to art. Too much, and the room feels busy. Too bold, and it can disrupt the sense of rest you’re trying to create. Too small or too safe, and it risks feeling like an afterthought. Learning how to style art in a bedroom isn’t about filling wall space - it’s about knowing when one piece is enough, where it should live, and how it can quietly shape the atmosphere of the room. The best bedroom art doesn’t announce itself. It settles in.
