Founded by Daria in 2020, Rumbelow began as a way to keep feeding her own love of mid-century treasures for the home. What began as her personal vintage habit quickly built a loyal following, and now the inventory has been stripped back to only the most carefully curated vintage pieces - vintage finds chosen for exactly how well they blend into modern living.

A residency in Highbury, two Sunday roasts (one with an end date), a wine bar in a bank vault, a new pizzeria in Bermondsey, khao soi in Soho, a toastie worth crossing the park for, and a bottle for the nights you'd rather stay in.
The clocks go back on 25th October. Dinner starts to feel like the main event again, and the evenings need somewhere to go. These are the tables we'd book this autumn, whether it's a third date or your three-hundredth.

Where to Book for Autumn Dates in London

Halloween films divide into two kinds. There are the ones built to frighten you, and there are the ones that only want the season - the low light, the house with too many rooms, the sense that something in the corridor has been there longer than you have. These are the second kind. Some of them are funny. One of them is stop-motion. None will cost you a night's sleep.

10 Films for Halloween That Won't Frighten You

There is a certain kind of house where nothing is ever really put away. Things gather, plants creep in, flowers dry out, furniture gets moved around, and somehow it all becomes part of the place. That’s what the Owens house in Practical Magic feels like.
Inside, the aesthetic is one of beautiful chaos: mismatched china, copper pans, jars of herbs, pressed flowers and old books stacked everywhere. Nothing is too neat. The kitchen opens onto a glass conservatory, while the rooms are full of details that feel accumulated over time. The house doesn’t look haunted so much as inhabited. Even the more fantastical details feel completely at home there.

Flea markets are where the best interiors finds are hiding. There's the thrill of spotting something nobody else has clocked yet, the possibility of an excellent piece for very little money, and, occasionally, the heartbreak of watching someone else get to the thing you wanted first. Natalie Tillison, founder of Folie Chambre, has spent years scouring markets across the UK, France and Italy, building a sharp eye for the pieces worth stopping for. Here, she shares the markets she returns to, what she looks for, how to haggle, and the one enormous mirror she still hasn't got over.

The Expert's Guide to Flea Markets

The most interesting rooms of the season weren't decorated, they were collected. New pieces sit along vintage forms, inherited proportions with furniture and textiles that are layer and loved. A collected room is never finished, and it isn't trying to be.

The supper club sits somewhere between a dinner party and a restaurant. You eat what you're given, at a time someone else has decided, usually next to people you've never met. What you get in return is a menu nobody had to make commercially viable: a chef testing an idea, a format that would collapse across a full service, food that arrives in the middle of the table because there's no other sensible way to serve it.
The 11 below run out of home kitchens, a decommissioned Victoria line carriage, a 200-year-old cotton mill on the River Goyt and a lakeside restaurant in the Cotswolds. Some seat 32 people four times a year. Some are built on the assumption that you're coming alone. Prices start around £30 and go to £140, and the only constant is that someone else has decided what you're eating.
