Glassette 2026 Autumn Trend Report

In 1967, Anna Castelli Ferrieri designed a storage unit that didn't look like storage at all. Three stacking drums, a swivel base, doors that click shut with a satisfying half-turn. Kartell has barely touched the design since. Today it sits in bathrooms, nurseries and design museums with equal confidence. Below, we take a closer look at the story behind the Componibili, and the injection-moulding breakthrough that made it possible.

Wooden furniture is having a moment of decoration. Tables tattooed with swallows, hands, roses, inked straight into the grain. Wardrobes gone polka dot. Chests of drawers with cows that look like they've wandered off a dairy farm and got comfortable. Even bedframes aren't safe - birds mid-flight across a headboard.
Wood has always taken a mark well. It's just been left plain for too long.

This month’s colour pairing brings together cranberry and eggnog - a rich maroon red paired with a soft egg white.
