Lucy Mahon makes simple and playful pieces of art and illustration as visual love letters to the world we live in. Founder Lucy, is a London based artist and illustrator working across a range of mediums. She bases her work around rituals and places that bring about comfort, nostalgia and a strong sense of home. Lucy begins the creative process by looking at her journals and notebooks, finding words and phrases she’s collected that capture recent personal experiences, from grand moments to everyday observations, and finds herself creating whole collections around a few important words.

A residency in Highbury, two Sunday roasts (one with an end date), a wine bar in a bank vault, a new pizzeria in Bermondsey, khao soi in Soho, a toastie worth crossing the park for, and a bottle for the nights you'd rather stay in.
The clocks go back on 25th October. Dinner starts to feel like the main event again, and the evenings need somewhere to go. These are the tables we'd book this autumn, whether it's a third date or your three-hundredth.

Hannah Drye never set out to make "London-style" pizza - that's a label other people attached to it. What she set out to make was thin, crispy pizza she actually wanted to eat, first from the back of a car at weekend markets, then through pub residencies, and now as XL slices and whole 20-inch pies at All My Friends in Hackney Wick.
Here, the Dough Hands founder talks 72-hour proves, why truffle oil never stood a chance, the fish finger sandwich she'd genuinely put on a pizza, and the scotch bonnet hot honey you can make at home with a day's patience.

Some houses explain an artist better than any retrospective. The places on this list weren't just lived in - they were made, obsessively, room by room, often over decades. A cobalt-blue courtyard in Coyoacán. A glass box lifted above the São Paulo rainforest. A Sussex farmhouse where no surface escaped a paintbrush. Most are open to visit, a few take planning, and all of them reward it. These are ten worth knowing about.

Welcome to If I Had A Million, our new series where we ask people anonymously what they'd actually do if they won a million pounds. Not what you should do with a windfall like that, what you'd really do. Each month, one person tells us exactly how they'd split it, spend it, and share it. No names, no judgement, just honesty.
First up: a 26-year-old trainee joiner from Bath, currently renting, who's already got it all mapped out, down to the industrial knitting machine.

If I had a million...

The right print changes a room in the same quiet way a good book changes a shelf, not through volume, but through the particular energy it brings to everything around it. Whether it's Olivia Sewell's acrylic-and-ink scenes that carry the warmth of a southern French summer, or Lucy Mahon's journal-sourced love letters to ordinary life, the illustrators in this edit share a sensibility: work that feels personal without being niche, joyful without being naive. These are the seven illustrators whose prints we keep returning to.

There's a version of personalisation that feels considered, where the object itself is already beautiful, and the added name, date, or word makes it specifically yours. Not the kind that screams its own sentimentality, but the kind you'd actually want to keep, display, or give. From handwoven wall hangings made to order to hand-finished prints that start life as journal entries, these are 5 brands to know about.

Eurovision is the one night a year when maximum effort is not only acceptable but essentially mandatory, so your party should match the energy. Start with a ballot sheet for every guest, and a snack spread loosely themed around the competing countries. Dress code is sequins or go home. Have a signature cocktail, pick your favourites before the voting opens, and prepare to be completely wrong about who wins. Chaotic, communal, and completely unmissable - exactly as intended.

From Neapolitan-style pies in Mayfair to wood-fired slices in Newquay, England's pizza scene has quietly become something worth travelling for. Whether you're after Bar Etna - the Newington Green collaboration between Four Legs' Ed McIlroy and Philadelphia pizza legend Joe Beddia, whose original spot was once named Best Pizza in America by Bon Appétit - the sourdough seriousness of Dough Hands, the natural-wine-bar energy of Rosa in Newquay, or the gloriously no-nonsense spirit of Bad Boy Pizza Society, there's a slice and a setting for every mood. We've rounded up the best spots from London to Manchester to Sheffield, because great pizza deserves a proper pilgrimage.

A classic colour pairing that harmonises in all the right ways, chocolate and duck egg are understated by design. A rich, velvety brown meets a soft, chalky blue-green - earthy warmth against cool calm.
Chocolate brings depth and grounding, while duck egg brings quiet freshness and a touch of the unexpected. Together, they complement each other effortlessly, creating a look that feels timeless, considered, and quietly confident.

What’s your art taste? Not the one you say in galleries. The real one.
Maybe you’re quietly accumulating meaning. Maybe you want to touch every surface. Maybe film, food, fashion and art all blur into one big reference board in your head.
Are you driven by nostalgia, or by the thrill of something that makes people pause?
Do you place pieces instinctively, or does every work have to earn its wall?
Some people collect art. Some people build a point of view.
Which one are you?

In this conversation, we sit down with artist Lucy Mahon to talk about the quiet romance of everyday life. From illuminated windows at dusk to the emotional pull of colour, Lucy’s work reads like a series of small, devoted love letters - to childhood, to memory, to the present moment. Rooted in daily rituals and note-taking, her practice is emotionally led, gently optimistic, and deeply human. Here, she reflects on creativity as self-soothing, the beauty of noticing, and why the ordinary continues to be her richest source of inspiration.
