The second in our neighbourhood guide series - this time our Head of Creative Anna on Highbury.
​I walk everywhere. That's the whole thing, really. I'll add twenty minutes to a journey to avoid going underground, and in Highbury I almost never have to - the park, the high street, the good pubs, the shops I actually use, all of it is on foot from my front door.
It helps that there's genuinely somewhere to walk to. I'd say the best restaurants and pubs in London are within a mile of here, which I know sounds like the kind of thing everyone says about their own postcode, but I'll stand behind it.

A pairing that shouldn't work as well as it does, cherry and turquoise operate on pure contrast. Saturated warmth against electric cool, the richness of a deep red-toned cherry meeting the clarity of an almost Mediterranean turquoise.
Cherry anchors the combination, bringing depth, drama, and a sense of the deeply considered. Turquoise cuts through it with energy and lightness, stopping the whole thing from taking itself too seriously. Fruit is having a design moment, and at Salone, it's been impossible to ignore. From Laila Gohar’s surreal fruit carousel to Chloé’s tomato-shaped seating, it showed up oversized, playful, and unexpectedly refined.
