We’re fascinated by the curious ritual of reading, and how the books that occupy our bedside tables, carefully curated shelves and overflowing tote bags have the power to shape our present, soothe our past and reaffirm our future choices. We checked in with Liv Little, multi-hyphenate in every sense of the word, and author of Rosewater (out 20th April 2023) to learn more about how reading fulfils and enhances her life, both as a book lover and soon to be published author. Liv spotlights the work of close friends and fellow writers, as well as sharing her favourite spots to browse and soak in the experience of purchasing a new book.

We take five minutes with actor & writer Minnie Driver to discuss the importance of reading in her life. The topics of conversation jump from Minnie’s idyllic reading deck at home to her favourite bookshop in the world, from deciding what to read next, to the book she feels most understood by. For someone whose work centres around stories and how we tell them, Minnie sees reading as a way to live many more lives than the one we find ourselves in.
