What started as selling produce boxes from a car park as a way to support farmers whose restaurant income had disappeared during the pandemic, Flamingo Estate has grown into a celebration of all that one can get from the garden. Founded on the belief that Mother Nature should be collaborated with, the brand produces a range of soaps, candles, wine, condiments, olive oil, and body products, all made from food-grade ingredients sourced from a network of farmers, herbalists, and horticulturalists.

When you work for Glassette, inspiration has a habit of following you everywhere. For me, travelling is no easy switch-off. My editorial eye is wide open. A five-minute stroll can quickly become an hour when there’s a doorway worth photographing, a particularly good tiled floor or a beautifully set-up bistro table you aren’t even dining at. Every detail feels worth documenting, and every snap brings my iPhone one step closer to begging for more storage.
On the flight home, headphones on, I find myself scrolling through everything I’ve captured, wondering what made me stop in the first place. Why that particular window? What was it about that dish, that shopfront, that slightly faded sign?
After a recent weekend in Marseille, I realised this is how I remember a place: by taking its details and turning them into a visual moodboard. A colour combination I’d never thought to put together, a soap I suddenly need in my bathroom, a table setting worth recreating at home. A collection of little visual souvenirs that follow me home and find their way into everyday life.
So, here is my Marseille moodboard.

Travelling With an Eye For Detail: Marseille

Mint has a habit of looking unfinished; silver is what finishes it. On its own, mint can feel undecided, hovering somewhere between pastel and green. Silver gives it something to play against. 
One comes from the garden, the other from the workshop, but side by side they lose that distance fast. Mint softens the shine, silver sharpens the green, and suddenly both colours make more sense together than they ever did apart.

July, you've been a lot - but in a good way. Busy doesn't quite cover it, but here's what's stuck with me this month.
A reading room stocked entirely with queer literature, tucked inside an Aesop store. A cabbage (yes, a cabbage) baked and frosted until it passes for a cake. A cosy, intimate dark in Fitzrovia that's somehow fully booked on a random Thursday.
But the one that's properly stayed with me, a shoe shop in Shoreditch, about to go under, saved overnight because the owner's daughter put it on TikTok and the whole neighbourhood turned up for it. Community, doing what it does best.
So that's my July edit, a bit of design, a bit of food, a bit of "support your local shop or lose it." Exactly as a July edit should be.
