Crockery Monsieur

Crockery Monsieur makes porcelain tableware and home accessories that emphasise porcelain’s hallmark: delicate translucency. Founder Gavin Burnett trained at Edinburgh College of Art and now teaches in higher education whilst maintaining his studio practice. His inspiration comes from a curiosity around abstract details in art, architecture and interior design. Carving into the clay with the traditional glass cutting technique ‘battuto’, he makes teapots, mugs and kitchenware that are highly textured and tactile, begging to be handled.
