Founded by Amelia, Bold Bean Co. is on a mission to give the humble bean a little more glory. Not initially a fan of beans, Amelia’s opinion was changed after a single spoonful of heirloom butter beans out of a jar during a hungover morning in Madrid, after which she realised her distaste for beans was really with the uninspiring tins and bland flavours of your typical back-of-the-cupboard can of beans. Bold Bean Co. seeks to remedy this by using the best quality, sustainable beans from the best producers they can find, in order to allow beans to be the hero ingredient they deserve to be.

A floating pool appearing in Canary Wharf just as the heatwave arrived. A brand new restaurant in Brixton that three years of sold-out supper clubs were always building towards. A flamenco festival to transport you to the south of Spain.
And further afield - a centuries-old house in Malta, restored over seven years by the founders of The Rug Company into the kind of hotel that makes you want to book a flight before you've finished reading about it.
So here's what's been on my radar this month. A bit food, a bit travel, a bit get-outside-while-the-sun-is-still-here. Exactly as a June edit should be.
