Bibbings & Hensby makes contemporary wooden furniture with a focus on functional craftsmanship and developing designs that build on inherited vernacular traditions. Founders Jack Bibbings and Matthew Hensby make each piece in their furniture workshop in London. Their focus is on using hand tools to produce practical everyday pieces of furniture suited to contemporary homes. Rather than producing modern furniture using modern processes, or traditional processes to produce traditional designs, they marry traditional craft with contemporary design to make work that feels grounded and relevant.
