Beatriz is an artist from Portugal. Beatriz always identified with art, from painting, drawing to anything related to manual arts. At school, where she really felt at home was in art class. Despite this deep connection, she chose to pursue a different academic path, distancing herself from that part of her identity. Still, she always knew that art was an essential part of who she was, even if she wasn’t yet sure how to share it with the world.
During the 2020 quarantine, with more free time on her hands, Beatriz returned to painting, though not consistently at first. It wasn’t until the final months of 2022 that she fully reconnected with her artistic voice. She picked up a canvas, experimented with oil painting for the first time, and created “Limões de verão”, a piece that captures the feeling of summer in the Algarve. This moment marked a turning point, inspiring her to share her work publicly and create her artistic platform.
In 2024, while living in the rhythm of Lisbon, Beatriz returned to her hometown for the summer, the place that has always inspired her the most. There, she began painting with renewed passion and consistency, finally discovering what truly moves her paintingbrush: the simple things in life.
From colorful tables, a glass of wine at sunset or a late afternoon at the beach, her favourite place to be, the portuguese artist portray life's little pleasures through her oil paintings.
